Why should you get to know secretsofvoodoo?
My voice sounds like 'clotted cream'... so I've been told; by some charmer, who may have been lying.
I eat anything. Except avocados. If you're looking for some avocado-themed action you won't get it here.
I can be very charming when I want to be.
I've got a lot of soul.
Impressively good at parallel parking: a lot of men have been impressed by my skill in this field.
I never use emoticons or unnecessary exclamation marks.
I've got an impressive amount of vinyl, for a girl.
I've got a lot of really cool boots.
I never use phrases like 'think outside the box' or 'this project needs to be more appropriately cascaded going forward'.
Into all the usual stuff: red wine, white wine, going out, staying in, eating things, drinking things, sofas, DVDs.
My main passions are books and music. Books: John McGahern, Katherine Mansfield, James Joyce, Jean Rhys and many many more. Music: at the moment I am listening to Mark Lanegan and Isobel Campbell, Regina Spektor, Young Marble Giants, Nico, Dolly Parton, the Innocence Mission...er, I'm trying to be eclectic here but I am coming across as a completely twee indie girl, which I'm not.
I'm not into twee, fey men by the way, although I will just about tolerate a cardigan, so long as you are not entirely limp-wristed.
I love it when people introduce me to their music. Two of my all-time favourite songs are 'Another Girl, Another Planet' by The Only Ones and 'My Perfect Cousin' by The Undertones. If you've got a Northern Irish accent, and are not hideous, do contact me.
Writing is my main thing. I've written a novel and trying to get it published. If you're an agent, do get in touch.
She describes her ideal match thus:
Oh just someone funny, intelligent, sexy, interesting, hopefully a little off-beat, into music and books but not anyone limpwristed or precious because I'll eat you alive. Also, I'm not really into anyone with weird neurotic dietary habits.
I would love it if you were also quite practical in a manly way. But perhaps I am asking for too much wanting intellect and practicality.
My ideal would be a mechanic who reads Proust; but I am aware that I am perhaps searching for the impossible here...
...basically someone so unusual that I couldn't imagine them. Individuality is more attractive to me than anything.
