Why should you get to know Smiley_Em?

Well... I'm happiest when hanging out with friends and laughing really hard (and hopefully not getting the giggles at too many inappropriate moments...) Ideally in a nice drinking or eating establishment.

I'm a student again now, second time around (in the evenings, after my grown-up day job), which keeps me pretty busy, uses up loads of my annual leave and is fantastic all the same...

I've got to admit my cultural intake has suffered since I've been back at uni, but I'm always glad if someone drags me along to a play or a gig or a gallery! I'm quite often in the (mature) student bar these days. Or else borrowing a friend's dog to take to the park. Or using up precious holiday running off for adventures! My ideal weekend would be something like a busy Saturday running round town, seeing people and doing fun or silly things, then taking it really easy on Sunday; papers, park, pub, borrowed dog, etc.

I was born in Spain but my parents are English. Oh, and I do a great impression of a peacock - a skill which is widely under-appreciated.

I'm pretty independent - sometimes I think I should just let people look after me a bit more! I'm mostly confident but also a bit shy. Is that allowed?
